The Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial orthopedics was established in year 2003. The post graduation program was started in year 2006 with 3 PG seats per year which was further increased to 6 seats in year 2014.

The department is situated on top left wing of second floor of the college with a PG clinic, UG clinic, separate labs for UG & PG students, photography room, seminar room & records section. The Department is well equipped with 30 dental chairs units and has all the laboratory equipments and materials required for various purposes such as vacuum molding unit, electropolishers, hydrosolder, light curing units, welders etc.

The department has full time working faculty of two professors , five readers & two senior lecturers.

It has nearly 600 patients undergoing treatment every year. Special cases like severe dentofacial deformities ,cleft and interdisciplinary cases are also treated. Newer orthodontic mechanics like Fixed functional appliances, Microimplants, Lingual Orthodontics, Accelerated orthodontics and Clear aligners are also practiced in department.

The department also organizes Continuing Dental Education Programs by distinguished speakers and clinicians to keep its students regularly updated about newer advances in field of Orthodontics.
