The Department of Pediatric Dentistry caters to the primary & speciality oral health care needs of children right from infancy through adolescence. The clinical setup boasts of a cheerful atmosphere conducive to the rendering of dental treatment to children of all ages & complying to the standards of a dental hospital. Preventive dentistry, practice of caring for your teeth to keep them healthy.

Patients referred to the department receive a warm greeting at the reception desk & there after are guided to the OPD or treatment areas. A cheerful playroom adjacent to the reception area & done up attractively, makes the waiting period a pleasurable one for the little ones. All patients & parents are given advice/guidance regarding oral health care in the audiovisual counseling room. The ambience excuded here also facilitates building of dentist-patient & dentist-parent report. The under graduate clinic currently houses 14 dental chairs with provision for more. The post graduate clinic, currently in the process of expansion, is designed to accommodate at a time 18 post graduate students, each of whom will be allotted individual, fully-equipped working spaces.

The sterilization room & departmental store are located midway between the under graduate & post graduate clinics for easy access by students & dental assistants alike.

The department has individual staffrooms for the faculty, located strategically on either side of the clinical area, enabling direct supervision of the clinics. Pacific Dental College also organizes camp for Preventive dentistry.

Further, the department also takes pride in having a multi-purpose special clinic, equipped for the treatment of special cases or children with behavior problems & also to function as a minor operation theatre. The department also houses a separate are for intraoral radiovisuography.

The spacious seminar room also doubles as the department library, with a capacity for comfortably seating upto 50 students. Students can make presentations using LCD & overhead projectors as well as whiteboard. The department has a wi-fi connection, and textbooks of Pediatric Dentistry & allied dental & medical specialities & a few journals as well as for quick reference in the department library.

A post graduate common room provides post graduate students their own space. The dental laboratory, with all required facilities, is conveniently located adjacent to the PG common room. The department library, dental laboratory & the PG common room as also a pre-clinical working area have been planned such that they are easily accessible to the PG students even after college hours.
